Using the Assistant

Chat View

To chat with an assistant you can directly access it from the navigation sidebar. Alternatively you can go to the Assistant Overview page and select it from there.

A new window will open, initially showing nothing but the input field at the bottom and the last chat with the assistant if applicable.

You can open a variety of different features via the top right or top left icon navigation.

Selective Instructions: Open the selective instruction sidebar via the lightbulb icon on the top right. From there toggle individual selections on or off, create new entries or overview all existing additional instructions. More information can be found here.

Tasks: If you want to access tasks available for the current assistant, click the task icon in the top right for the sidebar view. Here too you can open a new window for all tasks or add new tasks. For more information on how to set up and use tasks for your workflows go to the dedicated documentation section here.

Logs (Admin only): Clicking the magnifying glass icon allows you to access the logging information to see chat history details and debugging information.

Settings: Select the settings wheel icon if you need to adjust naming and/or instructions of your assistant set upon creation.

Execution Confirmation

When setting up data source connections, your admin(s) can choose to make it mandatory for certain actions to be manually confirmed by the user first.

This is extremely useful to keep the human in the loop for instance when you task your assistant with the deletion of board entries or update or removal of Notion pages.

In such a case upon execution the following form will show up in the chat window to ensure the correct next step.

Please note that your assistant will not continue with its task until feedback is given.

Share Assistants

In addition to the above mentioned features you can also choose to share an assistant with anyone in your company/project. Simply click on the share button and insert the email address.

Note that the recipient will need to have all necessary data source access rights in order to be able to use the assistant.

Assistant Chat History

Whenever you clean your current chat with an assistant a new chat history entry is created. Older chats can, however, always be accessed through the left-side history sidebar by clicking on the top left book icon.

You will also be able to access Task Histories from here via a dedicated tab in the history.
